Safety is a very integral part of our daily life.

Everywhere we are surrounded by hazards, that is why safety is important.

Now let’s define the term hazard it has the potential to cause harm.

It can be of any form starting from physical to biological, it can damage the doers, the surroundings and the environment.

To save the lives of the mankind the Scientists, Geniuses has to carve a niche or toy such an idea so that the work of any form doesn’t get hampered.

It can be done in the safest manner by keeping the man, environment and the entire workplace safer.

Let’s discuss something about the word safety think whenever we are going to perform any job in the workplace, we need to think a lot before making the job into action.

We need to churn out each and every aspect to bring the job to the safer side but this was not the case in the construction industry until the pact was signed.

In 1974 in the UK and 1970 in the United States the pact was signed.

This increased beauty and elaborated why safety is important in construction and petrochemicals.

A work permit system is a mutual agreement between two parties, it is permission from the client or the area owner to start the work after assessing the area.

e.g., Ensure the workplace is free from hazard and safer for workers.

Training Of the Workforce:

Give proper training to the workforce prior to deployment on the site so that they become aware of all the hazards in relation to the job.

Correct Tools and Equipment:

Inspect all the tools and equipment before its usage on-site.

Ensure it has an inspection sticker and color-coding as per the requirement.

Good and Standard PPE:

Distribute correct and standard PPE pertaining to the job to the workforce.

Provide them with training in what to wear and how to wear it.

Establishment of Rotation System:

Give proper rest and breaks to the workforce to avoid fatigue, exhaustion, and stress.

Reporting System:

Report every unsafe practice, condition, near miss, injury and record it on time in order to prevent further recurrence.

Practicing Correct Posture:

All the workforce should know how to stand in correct posture while doing the job to avoid injury.

Installation of the Emergency Equipment’s:

Ensure the workplace has emergency equipment in the form of a First aid kit.

The employer also needs to install Safety shower, and provide Ambulance for any emergency.

Avoiding Manual Handling:

You need to avoid manual handling in the workplace to prevent injuries, that is why safety is important.

Use of Mechanical Equipment’s:

Use mechanical aids to prevent manual handling injuries and give the workforce proper training for the same.

Ergonomics: –

Manage the working environment and the equipment in a standard manner, in order to avoid hindrance to a healthy workplace.
